Hello :-) dear adorable visitors

first of all, I apologize for the lack of new posts in this blog because recently I have so many projects so I have to give up blogging for a while, but finally I'm back :D okay enough babbling...

In this post I will cover about my favorite local brand

(X)S.M.L

(x)s.m.l was first founded in 1999 by Benarty Suharli and one of Indonesia's renowned designer Biyan Wanaatmadja.

for me personally this brand is really influential, I never absent for visiting (x)s.m.l stores in pondok indah mall or plaza senayan :p even tough only browsing a.k.a window shopping...their collection helps me to express my horizon of fashion today, what is in and about.

I love their choice of materials for their collection, it's super comfortable...it doesn't make your skin itchy or get easily torned.

This is what I like to call the 'IT' brand where they bring high quality fashion with affordable price, this can help youngsters to be

more fashion forward to today's fashion.

Recently speaking, this brand just launched their SPRING/SUMMER 2012 collection, i'm here to cover it all up with a little spice of my personal opinion.

let us start with the women collection

okay, Here it goes!!!

first set of garments, which adopt the color grey really catch my attention to really take a deeper and closer look to this mix. I personally love the cardigan which you see have two different motives at one go (stripes and polkadot) when I first saw this cardigan the first thing that cross my mind was stripes....I didn't really noticed the polkadot motive :p but after i've noticed the diversity of the motives, suddenly i'm in love with it, it's an unique piece that maybe will be the next trend..who knows :p. I love the touch of bright yellow on the shirt , it is for me makes this mix more alive, if they put all grey without any bright color in this mix, well this set will be then very dull since the color used was a neutral color which is supposed to be paired with some bright or catchy colors. Call me weird....but my first impression of the harem pants was kangaroo, somehow...in someway, it looks like the...you know kangaroo pocket where they keep their child, but this pants is cool anyways, however this piece is for me very risky for those of you (including me) who have average height or even below the average height, because this kind of pants will make you look more...shorter and wider, BUT WAIT don't loose hope~ this pants can really work after all, if we match it with some wedges or heels ;) i've tried it and it really works !

and this is me finally fulfilled my desires to buy the outer :p since i really love the motives...so here we are some mix and match for those of you who is still confused how to wear this 'cardigan' just for a quick tip, try to see things in a different point of view, for me this is no ordinary cardigan, I can also use it as a long sleeve shirt (by buttoning it up of course) so you can create new looks by only using one piece and sometimes people around me didn't notice that i wear the same piece all over again in a different way, so you have to try it also, and give a little twist of your personal style :D

Clothing with layers is a must have item today, for example like the layered outer above...not that i'm taking sides or anything but, I REALLYYYYY LOOOOOOVVVEEEE THIS OUTER !! (i'm so sorry, mind my oddity but I can't help it..(X)S.M.L is on my top 3 favorite brands list, so this is what happen when I see their new collection :p) this one here is a piece that you can wear in any occasion, you can wear it simply for hanging out or even as a workwear, i'll bet the material used is very comfy and wouldn't make you suffer from the heat we have to face everyday in this tropical country (specifically Indonesia) you can match this piece with pencil skirt and tanktop or even jeans to make it more casual.

OVERALL IMPRESSION : THIS PIECE WILL SATISFY THE TREND DEMAND :D

there has been some major usage of neutral colors in this collection don't you agree? but somehow (X)s.m.l brings more that just neutral colors, it's their unique design that other major local brands don't really dare to try and sell it to the indonesian market, like this one overall piece above, this is actually a simple long dress that maybe adopts the 'loose' and 'oversized' style, because they add a belt this dress looks folded forwards which gives more chic touch to the simple long dress

OVERALL IMPRESSION : NICE ANTICIPATION :) INTERESTING PIECE INDEED

for the men collection this spring/summer, (x)s.m.l adopts lots of geometrical motives, which gives a more minimalist view to this collection. 'simply stylish' that's the word that fits this mix..I love the fact that the blazer adopts the orange color, it makes this blazer less formal and more casual...just stunning. but i dont really like the pants though it looks too ordinary, but it fits the mix anyway~

OVERALL IMPRESSION : SIMPLY STYLISH

As i've seen in hangout places around Jakarta there's one style that is adopted by most of the boys and men which is the 'european guy' style that is identical with collar shirt, brown pants, oxford shoes and etc. so that's why I personally loved this mix, it brings a little twist of the trend that is happening recently...it still adopts the european guy style but with a little more awesome motives.

OVERALL IMPRESSION : AWESOMELY PACKED.
